Peach crumble bars are a delicious dessert that combines sweet, juicy peaches with a buttery, crumbly topping. This easy-to-make treat is perfect for any occasion, offering the perfect balance of flavors and textures.

Ingredients

  • Fresh peaches: 4-5 medium peaches, peeled and sliced (adds natural sweetness and juiciness to the bars).
  • Butter: 1/2 cup (113g), cold and cubed (gives the crumble topping its rich, flavorful texture).
  • Flour: 1 1/2 cups (180g) all-purpose flour (provides structure and is essential for the crumble topping).
  • Sugar: 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar (sweetens the bars and enhances the peach flavor).
  • Baking powder: 1 teaspoon (helps the bars rise slightly, creating a tender texture).
  • Cinnamon: 1 teaspoon (adds warmth and depth to the flavor).

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch (23×23 cm) baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups (180g) flour, 1 cup (200g) sugar, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Add 1/2 cup (113g) cold, diced butter and mix until the mixture forms coarse crumbs.
  3. Press part of the crumble mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the base layer.
  4. Bake the crust for 10 minutes until golden.
  5. Arrange the sliced peaches evenly over the baked crust.
  6. Top the peaches with the remaining crumble mixture.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden and the filling is bubbly.
  8. Let the bars cool completely before cutting into squares.
